The project demonstrates the systematic and complex approach to the gender equality problem in Sciences and HT in the Baltic States. It is a logical continuation of a work done by ENWISE group. The goal of the project is the establishment of the interregional Baltic States Network "Women in Sciences and HT" among women working groups, professional organizations and corresponding departments of the governmental institutions for creation of the common Baltic States strategy to increase women participation in Sciences (S) and High Technology (HT). It will help to compare and evaluate the existing policy measures and develop synergies between the national and the regional policies and formulate the new standpoint to the problem. With the purpose to ensure a good substantiation and a higher efficiency of the developed strategy much attention will be given to the sociological analysis of factors determining the under representation of women in Sciences and HT in the Baltic States. The periodical exchange of experience and good practice for realization of the gender equality in research, dissemination of the information and fostering of the integration of the gender dimension throughout the European research will be provided in the framework of the project.
